What, you're still here? You say that this is the only cable that can connect
a Centronic 36-pin Champ connector to your HP LaserJet with the weird mini-Centronics
port? Yeah, I know. I'm the one who made this cable, back in the eighties.
all about its parallel bi-directional data transfers and high-speed IEEE-1284 compliance.
And yeah, those HP LaserJets and DeskJets are still around, with their silly little
small centronics connector with the squeezing latches. But does anybody have
Centronics CN36 anymore? No. Nope. Nada.
It was all about the 25-pin D-Subs, they were the popular ones. With the D-Sub to Centronics
and the D-Sub to Mini-Centronics... heck, they even made 25-pin
to 25-pin D-Sub cables for folks who just loooooved the DB25 so much. Nobody wanted two Centronics, or even one Centronics
and one mini-Centronics. Did you know that Centronics were also referred to as Champ connectors? How could you not want two Champs?
Oh, you do? Well... yeah, okay. I've got some. Seriously, right here, ready to ship today.
Fresh ones, new ones, not used or salvaged like those other web sites. Tell me what you want, and
I'll get it for ya. Just no more than twenty-five feet, all right? Champs don't like to go that far.
