IEEE-1394 FireWire Hub 6-Port

The 1394-HUB is a six port FireWire hub, which has a built-in cable repeater while acting as a bridge between a computer's Firewire Host Controller and numerous Firewire devices.

1394-HUB provides six bi-directional ports between IEEE-1394 compliant hardware and hosts, allowing any combination of devices to connect and share data at speeds beyond USB 2.0 (no matter what the "specifications" claim). This handy unit also acts as a signal repeater, allowing full FireWire speeds at distances beyond what would be possible through a direct connection.

It supports both full speed (400 Mbps) and low speed (100-200 Mbps) devices, including camcorders, hard drives, media servers, and cameras.
