IEEE-1394b FireWire 800 to 400 Cable

The DataPro 1394 'AC' series is the solution for connecting two FireWire devices with differing pin connectors. One end of this cable features a classic 6-pin connector, common on Windows machines and most devices, and the other end features a 9-pin FireWire 800 connector, common to Apple computers and newer hard drives.

FireWire 800, while significantly faster than FireWire 400, is designed to be fully compatible with it's older sibling. When two devices are connected using this cable, they will function as seamlessly as if they were both on the same connector type; although speed will be reduced to match the slowest-rated device.
