When two S-Video cables become one, it's a beautiful thing. Now you can
make two into one whenever you want, thanks to DataPro's S-Video splicer.
This coupler features two female 4-pin Mini-Din jacks (MD04F), the type
used by SVHS video signals as well as Apple's old ADB keyboards. It's
wired straight-through, as are the cables, so just plug one cable into
each end and voila! Two become one, and it's so much better.
Although connecting two cables via passthrough splices will reduce
signal quality, if used in conjunction with our coaxial S-Video cables,
image quality should be maintained for well over 100 feet. Analog
degredation is proportional to distance, so for absolute optimal
quality, a single cable is always best.
But sometimes that's not an option. In those times, an S-Video coupler
is the next best thing.

and signals, see our Video White Paper.
