The DataPro 1325 is a male-to-male SCART cable for European video systems.
The SCART interface is a scalable standard for analog audio and video, with
specification updates to include compatibility with composite, s-video, and
component video systems. It is one of the most vicious-looking connectors
in the electronics industry, like the shark of the cable seas.
While equivalent to other North American video standards, SCART was unique in
its consistent inclusion of audio and its expandable specification. It maintained
a strong market presence throughout European manufacturing until the rise of
digital technologies (namely HDMI), when American and European markets converged.
This cable is a straight-through 20-pin SCART cable, ideal for connecting a
VCR or DVD player with a television.
