The 9553FP is a "Forced Perfect" SCSI
terminator for a single-ended SCSI bus.
Every SCSI bus must have a terminator
(set of terminating resistors) at each
end of its internal and/or external bus.
Active termination uses a sophisticated
method of terminating the SCSI bus to allow
for faster speeds and longer cable lengths
than does passive termination.
Force Perfect type termination offers the
most efficient method of termination
currently available for Ultra-Wide SCSI
subsystems.
This terminator is mounted on a DH68M connector.
