The 9553D is a SCSI-3 terminator for
"differential" SCSI bus subsystems.
Every SCSI bus must a terminator
(terminating resistors) at each
end of its internal and/or external
bus.
Most SCSI subsystems are of the
"single-ended" type; single-ended and
differential SCSI are electrically
different and cannot be mixed on the
same SCSI bus sub-system.
This terminator is mounted on a DH68M
connector.
