The DataPro SXP320 Serial/Parallel two-way convertor allows serial
to parallel interface conversion or parallel to serial interface
conversion "on the fly".
Examples of applications are computer with Centronics parallel output
sent to an RS232C terminal or printer, or a computer with RS232 output
sent to a printer with a Centronics parallel input port etc.
The two-way convertor provides TTL or CMOS compatible Centronics I/O
interface on a 36-pin connector, and RS232C compatible I/O interface on a
25-pin connector.
The serial interface is baud-rate scalable from 300 bps to 38400 bps.
The parallel interface maximum speed is 10 Kbytes/second.
All features and functions are DIP-switch programmable.
The SXP320 supports both software (XON/XOFF) and hardware
(RTS/CTS) flow control (also called "handshake").
For all of the above features and capabilities plus the added benefit of
in-line data buffering, select the SXP325 model which includes a 512 KB
data buffer.
