This USB 3.0 SuperSpeed panel-mount B extension cable is perfect for device enclosures, wall panels for
computers, and podiums for presentation laptops. It provides a device-style B-type USB port in any plate
or enclosure, and includes all the speed and features of USB 3.0.
In the USB environment, the squarish B-type connector is used as the USB port on peripherals and external devices: printers,
scanners, cameras, hard drives, et cetera. If your wiring situation has you looking for remote access to a device,
such as a shared printer or ceiling-mounted projector, using a panelmount USB-B cable will allow your end-users
to plug in their computers using any standard USB cable. It's quick, convenient, and hard to mess up.
Simply connect the B male into your USB 3.0 device, mount the B female onto your panel or enclosure, and
then connect your PC to this with a standard USB A/B cable. The 1691 line of B-type mounting USB cables
are backwards compatible with USB 2.0, and are made with blue plastic interiors to clearly identify them as
3.0 ports.
The wiring in this extension cable is straight-through, so it will function properly as expected in all scenarios.
