The KNV-104R KVM Switch allows a single
user to control four computers from one
console station (monitor, mouse, and
keyboard).
There are two models:
KNV-104R Standard KVM switch
KNV-104D Includes On-Screen Display
Both models are identical in appearance.
KNV-104R(D) features mouse and keyboard
emulation for automatic boot up, supports
SVGA, VGA, and Multisync monitors, and
selects any computer with the use of hot keys,
by manual buttons or with the on-screen (OSD)
menu. There is no software to install, and no
problems with software/OS compatibility.
The on-screen display menu (OSD) allows you
to name each computer and switch between
them. It also shows computer status, cascade
configuration, and the switch status.
The KNV-104R is compatable with both RS232
serial and PS/2 mouse ports and includes two
PS2/serial adaptors. You must use a PS/2 mouse
as the input to the switch. The operating
systems of the computers will have no
compatability problems, as the unit will
work with any type and any combination of
computer.
These units can be cascaded with other models
of KVMs, such as the KNV-102 and KNV-108. A
Rack Mount kit is also available.
No external power supply is required, as
these units are powered through their
keyboard connections to the CPUs. External
power supplies are available, however, and
can be purchased and used for backup.

The KVM Switch is useful for computer rooms
which require access to multiple file servers
via one console, factories needing to test
and quality check products, and for showroom
demo situations.
