The DataPro 80-3421 Half-Size Rack Shelf fits an industry standard 19
inch wide rack, and is the perfect type of shelf for situations that require
a shelf.
The internal dimensions are 17 inches (w) by 14 inches (d). 17 inches is the
inside width of a 19-Inch rack, so this shelf will rest perfectly between the rack
posts and provide a flat surface to store server towers, keyboards, blank media,
coffee cups, books, speakers, non-perishable food items, survival gear, or anything
else you might want to put there. I mean, it's a shelf. What can't it do?
Conforming to EIA-310C standards,
these rack shelves are made of heavy duty
16 gauge CRS steel and colored black
in a natural mill finish. The 'A'
model of this product is an aluminum
version of the same dimensions but with a brushed metal finish.
This shelf is also called a cantilever shelf. It can be mounted on either
the front or back of a 19-inch rack, but is generally better suited for center-loading
racks. It can mount fine on front-loading racks, but may interfere with cabinet doors
and other enclosure structures designed for front-loading racks.
