to convert wall-plugging monitors into computer-plugging monitors, because yes,
that was desirable behavior back then.
Nowadays, computers draw so much power and monitors do as well, it's highly unlikely
that you'll come across any desktop power supply that offers a piggyback power
port. And even if you did, we wouldn't recommend using it before doing careful research
into the power consumption loads of all the involved devices, lest something go awry.
