This handy little device supports HDTV and PC resolutions up to 1080p (1920x1080 @ 60Hz), and can be set to mirror or extend your Windows desktop. After the drivers are installed, the device appears as any other attached monitor, and can be configured to your desired settings. To other applications, the USB adaption is completely transparent.

This type of adaption is great for adding additional screen real estate in a pinch, and especially on computers that are difficult to add expansion slots to (like laptops, all-in-one, and mini computers). Because USB is not as bandwith-saavy as video standards, though, these types of adaptors are best suited for displaying images, web pages, slide shows, and other low-motion screens. They are not so much great with playing video or complex animation, because of buffering and conversion limitations.
