The USB/Firewire 4-port sharing
hub will allow up a single PC or
Macintosh computer to connect to
up to four USB devices and three
Firewire devices at the same time.
It is backwards-compatible from
USB 2.0 to USB 1.1, and can be
used for any USB and Firewire
device including cameras, printers,
scanners, hard drives, optical
media, and game devices.
The hub can be used with both PCs
and Macs. It requires no software
installation and is compatible with
Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP, as
well as with Mac OS X (10.1).
The hub provides one upstream port
and four downstream ports to the
user via Universal Serial Bus.
It supports both full speed
(12 Mbps) and low speed (1.5 Mbps)
devices. It also provides three
two-way Firewire ports for a direct
computer connection or integration
into a IEEE-1394 (also known as
iLink) daisy chain of up to 64 devices.
UH-244 is power by an included DC adaptor
and features LED diagnostics for USB power,
USB connectivity (per port), and Firewire
power.
