The single-link DVI cable is a simple and economical solution to digital display
connectivity. Included "free" with most high-definition digital displays, DVD
players, and some video cards, these DVI cables offer the basic throughput necessary
to carry an all-digital video signal from source to destination.
Dual-Link DVI cables, in contrast, offer twice the throughput of these cables in the
same standard form-factor connection. Because the increased cost of manufacturing
dual-link DVI is negligible, because the connectors for single-link and dual-link
are compatible, and because the quality benefits of dual-link are so much higher,
DataPro no longer carries single-link DVI cables as pictured above.
For high-quality digital video wiring, we exclusively
offer DVI cables in the dual-link format.
We recommend these cables over single-link DVI, for the various reasons outlined
above, and always keep a ready stock on hand.
