The DataPro USB print server allows
network users to print to a remote printer
over an Ethernet local area network.
This means that a single printer can
be shared and accessed by all computers
on the LAN independently.
The USB Ethernet print server can enable
all the regular functions of the printer
to all operating systems, and will always
serve the network independently of which
computers are online.
The DataPro print server supports
10-Base-T communication and supports
high-speed USB 1.1 and 2.0 printer ports.
It is compact, pocket size for ease of
attachment to a printer's USB port.
The EU-100 series supports both TCP/IP
and Netware IPX protocols support, as
well as Microsoft Windows NetBEUI. It
is compatible with all leading network
operating systems, including Microsoft
Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP, Linux/Unix,
and Novell NetWare.
The print server also features DHCP services for IP
address assignment, quick setup utility
for NetWare, and simple management through
standard Internet browser.
This device could in fact be used as a
stand-alone DHCP server, without even
being connected to a printer; it is very
easy to setup and administer for DHCP
services.
The fault-tolerant upgrade design ensures
a smooth firmware upgrade if needed.
Samsung ML-121018.
Note: It cannot support all GDI printers.
Under MacOS, it can only support Postscript printers.
It may not work with MFP (multi-function printer).
