This nifty HDMI-over-ethernet pair allows high-definition HDMI video and audio to be transmitted up to 160 feet away!
With a pair of inexpensive Cat-5e or Cat-6 cables from your source to your destination, the HDX-150 will
get your signal there with no latency or quality loss. This is well in excess of HDMI's typical limitation of 15-20 feet,
without the expense of inline boosters.
There are no settings to configure; just plug everything in and enjoy 1080p video and lossless audio wherever you
want it! The device is HDCP-compliant, so it is fully compatible with Blu-ray, HD-DVD, upconverted DVDs, and Windows
Vista. It supports HDMI 1.3 audio bitstreaming of DTS-HD Master Audio (DTS-MA), Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Digital Plus (DD+).
This unit is also compatible with DVI monitors, when connected using a
DVI to HDMI video cable. Unfortunately, the HDX-150 will
only convert from HDMI to DVI; it will not work from a DVI source.
This part is sold as a pair of units, one for sending and one for receiving.
The receiving unit (at the far end of the run) must be plugged into the wall with the included 5V DC power adapter. The sending
piece does not require external power.
