The 1597 seriesis a USB Type A to Sony Mini B 4-pin cable, which can be used in certain types of cameras and other USB devices but is not a standard Mini-B cable.

The Sony Mini type-B connector is small, roughly square but with bevelled corners, and can be found on various USB accessories manufactured in the late 1990's and early-to-mid 2000's.

This cable is a special 4-pin cable for most Sony Digital cameras. Sony uses a mini-'B' connector that is similar in size to the standard mini-'B' connector; however the Sony connector is not the same. This connector is very square, whereas a standard mini USB connector is a beveled trapezoid.

Many digital cameras are compatible with this cable, but not all of them. Make sure that your camera uses a 4-pin Sony Mini-B connection before purchasing this cable.
