USB Sharing Hub 4 CPU:4 Device

The USB 4-port sharing hub will allow up to four PC and Mac computers to share access to up to four USB devices, such as scanners, cameras, printers, and hard drives.

The nature of USB does not allow passive splitting between devices and hosts, so this special hub acts as a gatekeeper and allows only one computer access at a time. The switching is plug-and-play compatible, so devices and computers do not have to be reset when moving control.

The hub can be used with both PCs and Macs at the same time, using the manual push-buttons on the hub. Windows-based PCs can also gain control of the hub using included software; Mac software is not available.

The hub provides four upstream ports and four downstream ports to the user. It supports both full-speed (12 Mbps) and low-speed (1.5 Mbps) devices.

UH-244 provides both self-powered and bus-powered modes. It has per-port overcurrent detection LEDs, as well as per-port power ready LEDs.
