The 1140 series Video Extension cable is used to extend the length of any DVI video cable. The dual- bandwith connectors ensure maximum quality images while extending the signal to the desired length. Keep in mind that, although some devies are stronger than others, DVI is only guaranteed to function up to 16 feet.

This is a Male-to-Female type, with DVI-I connectors on each end.

The DVI-I style connectors on this cable make it the most flexible as far as compatibility with your devices. A DVI-I can link a DVI-A analog with a DVI-I, or a DVI-D digital with a DVI-I, or either a DVI-A to DVI-A or a DVI-D to DVI-D.

However, this cable will not work to connect a digital device (DVI-D) to an analog one (DVI-A).
