The DataPro CSV-955A is a high-definition component video to VGA converter. It accepts HDTV
resolutions (component Y/Pr/Pb) and translates these directly to VGA.
Because the resolution remains unchanged, this clever little gadget is able to preserve
the quality and fidelity of the original source, just like new. Your
video will appear on your VGA monitor as if they were natively from a VGA
source. Fine details and written text appear as sharp
as can be, unlike on other lower-grade converters that downsample and ruin everything.
The CSV-955A supports all popular high-definition resolutions:
- 480p: 640x480 (works on any VGA monitor)
- 720p: 1280x720 widescreen
- 1080i: 1920x1080 widescreen interlaced (limited monitor support)
- 1080p: 1920x1080 widescreen
You can use any progressive-scan component video source, including DVD and Blu-ray players and all popular
video game consoles*. This cute litte fella also has VGA pass-through, so your VGA computer can remain
plugged in. Toggle between sources with just the flick of a switch!
Your video source must be configured to progressive-scan output (480p, 720p, 1080p) or 1080i for the CSV-955A to operate correctly. Please refer to our CSV-955A FAQ for setup information.
To set up your Xbox to use the CSV-955A, please follow these Xbox high-definition setup instructions.
The Vdigi VD-Z3 we previously sold is no longer available. Though the VD-Z3 set
the bar high for quality, we are happy to say that this model is even better!
The gamma curve is more accurate, with a more detailed and natural image. The new
CSV-955A also supports 1080p resolution.
*The PlayStation 2 does not universally output high-definition signals; the CSV-955A will only work with PS2 games that support 480p, 720p, or 1080i output.
