The DataPro 8500 is a bi-directional
interface convertor between RS232
Serial and RS422/RS485.
Two slide switches control its operation
mode, contention control, and assignment
of the RS232.
The 8500-I model offers Opto-Isolation, a
unique method of using couplers to isolate
signals and maximize the data speed and
integrity. Additionally, internal transformers
protect the unit and your hardware from
surges and spikes up to 2000 volts.
The 8500 and 8500-I units are powered by
a DC 9v 200ma power adaptor. For a self-powered model, the 8500-N is fed via the
serial bus and requires no external supply.
