The 1596 series cable is a USB
Type Mini 'B' to Mini 'B' cable.
The mini type-B connector, small,
roughly square but with bevelled
corners, plugs into upstream
sockets on certain special devices.
This cable has male Mini-B 5-pin connectors
on each end, however only four pins
are connected through.
The type-B connector is used only for
the device end of a removable device,
such as between a hub and a camera,
but some special circumstances can
require the use of a type-B to type-B
connection.
