In observance of Memorial Day, DataPro will be closed Monday, May 30th, 2022. Orders placed after 12:00 PM PDT on Friday, May 27th will be processed on Tuesday, May 31st.
The DataPro 112939FM and 112939MF
keyboard adaptors allow the user
to adapt between 5-pin (AT style)
and 6-pin (PS2 style) keyboards
and CPU keyboard ports. It is highly
unlikely that anybody would ever need
to do this nowadays, but just in case,
here at DataPro we will continue to offer it.
The 112939FM has a 5-pin female
(socket) DIN connector and a 6-pin
male (plug) Mini-Din connector
(CD05F - MD06M).
The 112939MF has a 5-pin male (plug)
DIN connector and a 6-pin female
(socket) Mini-Din connector
(CD05M - MD06F).
These adaptors are available as
a 1-foot flexible cord or as a
2-inch hard shell type.
Although these connectors are different sizes,
the two are electrically compatible. However, neither is
compatible with the Apple Macintosh keyboard (ADB).
We can also build these adaptors as longer
cables, for example to connect from one
port to a different port on a data switch
using one cable.
With 'modern' computer equipment, there should be
no signal loss out to 20 Feet or so, and we have
built this cable to as long as 50 feet with no
signal loss. However, this does vary widely
depending on the quality of your equipment.
