The DataPro 1139-series Keyboard
Extension cable for PS2 devices
is an attractive, high-quality
imported molded cable. It is designed
to extend a PS2 keyboard or mouse
For most of the 1990's, PS2 was the
standard interface for keyboards, mice, and
barcode scanners connecting to Windows and Linux
computers (Apple, like always, used a proprietary version).
It has since been replaced by the ubiquitous USB,
but PS2 is still more reliable for long-distance
runs and rugged environments.
We also build this cable in any length you require.
The connections are 6-pin Mini-Din male and female. The wiring
configuration is always straight-thru, for extending an existing
PS2 cable. If you need to connect two female PS2 ports together (e.g.
a computer to a data switch or KVM), use our PS2 male/male cable.
