The 1594 series cable is a USB type
'A' to 'B' (host to device) cable. This
is the most basic and prolific USB
cable, and is used for virtually every
USB printer, scanner, and external enclosure
on the market.
The type 'A' connector is a flattened
rectangle that plugs into downstream
port sockets on the USB hub or USB host.
Cables permanently attached to a device,
such as on a keyboard or a mouse, use
the USB-A style of connector.
The USB-B connector, roughly square
with two bevelled corners, plugs into
upstream sockets on devices and on hubs.
The B-type connector is used only for
the device end of a removable device,
such as between a hub and a printer.
This cable is USB 2.0 compliant.
