Technical Documents
The 1851 series cable is a coaxial cable
for wireless antenna connection, using an
RP-SMA (reverse polarity) male connector on
one end and an RP-SMA (reverse polarity)
female connector on the other end. This
cable is used as an extension for SMA
reverse polarity wireless antennas.
Most PCI wireless cards use SMA
reverse polarity connections to their
antennas. This cable can be used to
place the antenna away from the computer.
This cable is made with RG-58 coaxial
wire, having a nominal impedance of 50 Ohms.
We can also build this cable in any length you request.
Please note that this cable is of Reverse Polarity, meaning that
the male outer-locking connector has a jack and the female inner-locking
connector has a pin. RP-SMA is most common on consumer-targeted wireless
electronics. If you need a standard polarity cable, with outer-threading
and the pin both on the male end, see our SMA Extension Cable.
