Q: What do you call two DB25 connectors that never intersect?
A: Parallel ports.
The hilariously punny 70505 Dual DB25 plate mounts two DB25 connectors of any
type into your wall of choice, using a standard 1-gang wall plate. It's two
cutouts are sized for 25-pin D-Sub connectors of either male or female gender (or both!),
and can be used for any interface that requires a DB25.
From ages past, the D-Sub standard populated many types of interfaces, and DB25 was one
of the few crossovers that touched many busses. It was used in serial RS232 interfaces,
alongside its fellow DB09 connector. It was used in SCSI interfaces, alongside dozens of increasingly-larger
D-Sub and High-Density connectors. It was used in parallel IEEE-1284 interfaces, often paired
with the clippy-wippy Centronics connector.
The 70505 face plates are made for fitting into a standard
wall mount hole, similar to an outlet or light switch. Its cutouts can be
fitted with any of DataPro's panelmount cables or mounting couplers, to
suit your needs, or the plate can be ordered separately for custom terminations.
When you add this plate to your cart, you will be given the option to include
couplers or cables to suit your needs.
