IEEE-1394 FireWire Type BB 4x4

The DataPro 1394BB series cable is an IEEE-1394 compliant cable with a 4-pin (Type 'B') connector on both ends.

IEEE-1394 cabling provides high-speed data transmission for digital audio and video applications, and is designed to reduce cabling and interface costs.

The four-pin FireWire connector is most commonly found on portable devices, like camcorders, laptops, and small hard drives. Its companion connector is the larger 6-pin connector, found on desktop computers and full-size hard drive enclosures.

The unique structure of the FireWire bus allows up to 63 devices to be daisy-chained through a common interface, for attaching multiple components to a single computer port.
