The 1023W series is a waterproof DB9 Male extension cable with a panel-mount connector on the male end for installing into a faceplate or serial wall plate

As an alternative to bulky waterproof serial connectors that require a screw-on cap, ours prevents moisture ingress even when uncapped. However we recommend a waterproof port cover for extended periods of exposure.

9-pin cables are capable of carrying a number of different communication standards, so we do not restrict the maximum length of custom 9-pin cables when ordering. Please note however that we do not accept returns of custom products, and recommend verifying that the specified length will work for your intended application and standard before ordering. RS-232 has a maximum recommended cable length of 50ft (15m), while RS-422, RS-423, and RS-485 can reach as far as 3900ft (1200m) at reduced speeds.

Please note that due to the design of the waterproof connector, it is impossible to ground the shell on the panel-mount end of the cable. If you require this functionality, please contact our Sales department!
