The combination of VGA and USB make this ideal for remote-computer situations, either when a portable computer may be brought in and desires connection to remote hardware (a mounted projector and wireless mouse, for example), or when a local display needs connectivity to a distant computer (a mounted touch-screen display on a show-room floor working from a computer in the server room, for example).

This face plate features cutouts for one VGA port and one USB port, and is available in a variety of materials to match your decor and style. It is a single-gang form factor for low-voltage boxes, the same as a North American light switch or duplex power outlet.
