Formerly the gold-standard of inter-computer communications, Null Modem RS232 cables
still valiantly service GPS receivers, marine hardware, and legacy applications
that require the classic 9-pin to 9-pin null (crossover) pinout.

The DataPro 4002 series Null-Modem
File Transfer Cable is commonly used to
connect two PC serial ports (COM)
to each other for file transfer. It may
also be used to directly connect any RS232
serial devices that are otherwise designed
to interface via modem or intermediary device.
The ends are both DB09F 9-pin DSub connectors with
slotted thumbscrews.
This cable is not wired straight-thru,
but rather with null-modem pinouts.
It is designed for PC-to-PC connections,
but is also commonly used for DuoLink and
Interlink style printers which feature a
male DB09 nine-pin connector.
We also build this cable in any length you
require.
We have regularly built this cable over 50 feet with
no loss of data encountered, and in some instances
close to 100 feet. These lengths
will vary depending on your equipment and
conditions.
